Brazilian steel group CSN was today said to be preparing to trump the 4.3bn takeover of Corus by Indian rival Tata Steel. The Sunday Times said CSN has appointed investment bank Lazards to advise it over launching a counter-bid for the Anglo-Dutch firm.
